In what is probably the least-surprising development of the day, the Green Bay Packers have announced they are once again raising ticket prices.
This has been a yearly occurrence for nine years running now. There was some speculation that since they had a losing season in 2017, there wouldn’t be a price hike. But no, that won’t happen as long as Ginger Gap Tooth is the loser running things.
Here’s a nice summary.
#Packers announce they're raising ticket prices for the ninth consecutive year. $7 across the board for bowl seats for regular-season games. #Packers went 7-9 in 2017 and missed the playoffs. Last time they missed the postseason (2008) was also the last time prices did not go up.

That’s per-game increase. Preseason tickets were also increased $2 per game.
Without looking, I can already tell you what that Alfred E. Neuman lookalike said.
“We provide a great game day experience for fans and our ticket prices are still in the lower half of the league.”
Yeah, dick?
What this logic fails to recognize is the fan base is probably also one of the least wealthy overall. A lot of fans are already priced out of the games — I hear this from regular fans all the time. Why don’t you go to a game? Because I can’t afford it.
I know people who live in Green Bay who can’t afford to take their family to a game. So think of all the extra crap people coming in from out of town have to pay for — hotel, meals, maybe a flight.
So, for the ninth year in a row, you can go and jam your price increase up your ass, Gingy.
