That is, unless he eventually gets cut. However, as of today, cornerback Demetri Goodson is a member of the Green Bay Packers in 2018.
He’s the guy who just won’t go away.
Under normal circumstances, Goodson would have been an unrestricted free agent next week. However, since he was on the physically unable to perform list beyond the sixth game of 2017, his contract was basically pushed back a year.
The contract for #Packers CB Demetri Goodson tolled — meaning it was pushed back to 2018 — so he will NOT be an unrestricted free agent next week. A contract tolls when a player is in the final year of his deal and remains on PUP beyond the sixth game of the season.

Goodson, who the Packers have primarily used on special teams, tore his ACL and MCL during the 2016 season. He did eventually come off the PUP, but then injured his hamstring and was put on injured reserve.
At the end of the day, Goodson didn’t play a down for the Packers in 2017. He did make three starts at cornerback for the Packers in 2016, when the position was ravaged by injuries.
