There’s certainly no bitterness on the part of Damarious Randall…
Since the Green Bay Packers traded the former first-round pick to the Cleveland Browns, Randall has made a comment about his freedom and now about how dumb the trade was.
You’ll see how dumb that trade was very soon 😂😂😂 https://t.co/tyCsgKLBqG

How dumb or not dumb it was will remain to be seen. The Packers got quarterback DeShone Kizer back in the deal. However, the real get was swapping picks in the fourth and fifth rounds with the Browns. The Packers pick 14th in each round. The Browns, because they suck, pick first. So it’s arguably as if the Packers added another third and fourth round pick.
What’s more, Randall appears to be locker room cancer. Some veteran leaders wanted him cut following a benching and subsequent outburst early during the 2017 season.
That’s not to say he can’t change the narrative in Cleveland. He’s moving back to safety, the position he played in college. However, the kid has always been outspoken despite plenty of subpar play and he obviously hasn’t learned how to shut his mouth.
Some would call that a sign of immaturity. Ignore the noise.
Randall obviously hasn’t learned how to do so.
The fact remains, despite others suggesting it was last year, Randall’s only truly good season remains his rookie year. In 2015, Randall had a career-high 58 tackles and 14 passes defended. He added three interceptions, one less than he had in 2017.
Unlike the past two years, Randall actually looked like a willing tackler in 2015.
Boy, remember that? Damarious Randall willing to tackle anyone?
In 2016, Randall’s play was straight garbage. In 2017, things started the same way, but he looked better after the benching. It seemed to wake him up.
Maybe the trade will motivate him like the benching seemed to and he’ll play well for the Browns, but we have our doubts.
You can’t be a boy and play a man’s game.
