You might recall that former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre spoke to the Philadelphia Eagles on the day before the Super Bowl. You might also recall that running back Legarrette Blount was not impressed with the decision.
Nonetheless, the speech went on anyway. Eagles coach Doug Pederson was Favre’s backup with the Green Bay Packers for eight seasons. Favre showed up as a favor to his former caddy.
One guy who loved the appearances was Chris Maragos. And yes, I will be honest, I had to look up exactly who Chris Maragos is. He’s definitely a Favre fanboy. He’s also from Wisconsin and, after starting out at Western Michigan as a receiver, transferred and played safety for the Wisconsin Badgers.
Although Maragos has bounced around the league after going undrafted — three teams since 2010 — he’s stuck with the Eagles. He’s also won two Super Bowls, one with Seattle — his second team — and this last one with Philadelphia.
Seven years in the league, two rings. Most guys can’t claim either of those things.
So here’s a bit of Maragos geeking out over Favre.
Love this @ChrisMaragos story about @BrettFavre talking to the @Eagles the night before the Super Bowl. Complete with Chris’ bootleg fanboy picture 5:20 & 10:20 @tmj4 #Eagles #NFL #Packers pic.twitter.com/qpgLjUQGrn

Favre knows a thing or two about beating the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
