If you can’t quite see that, it’s Carolina Panthers Cam Newton’s head and the words: “You’ve been watching film, huh? That’s cool. Watch this!” And that person is Panthers coach Ron Rivera.
It references the game vs. the Green Bay Packers. Linebacker Clay Matthews was yelling, “It’s the wheel route! It’s the wheel route!” prior to the snap. That was Newton’s response before he tossed a touchdown to running back Christian McCaffrey.
It was not the wheel route.
Can’t wait for this embarrassment of a season to be over
Ditto
Whether its a bad season or a good season, Packer fans have always been there to enjoy Packer games.
I remember clearing a seat with 12 inches of snow in 1977 to watch the Vikings kill the Packers at home. Still had fun. Still cheered for our Packers. Games like this were the only games where tickets would come easily to those that did not have season tickets.
Kings County Mental ward paging a Mr. Ted Thompson!
Mr. Thompson your room is ready!!
Lol
The Packer’s seem to have cemented their image as a team run by Buffoons and fools . . . It is time for a house cleaning.
Sorry to steal a line from you PF4L, but…. cue the circus music
But the funniest part of the story is that, when the play was analyzed, it was realized that IF the Panthers had run the wheel route the receiver still would not have been covered despite Clay-mation’s warning to all. Even if Clay-mation was right, they still would have gotten the TD.
I don’t like the Packers and I don’t like Cam Newton. That said, I don’t think that shirt is meant as a taunt or mock towards the Packers but rather an acknowledgement of the unusual coolness of what Can did that play. You gotta admit, that was cool. I have never seen it before, a confident conversational declaration towards a defender by the QB under center, just before the snap and just before scoring a TD. It was like a scene out of a movie.
Yeah Ron whatever…call me when you have won something…other than riding the bench for Da Bears in 1985. Although he did win the Pop Warner trophy in 1983…who knew?
