Didn’t we just do this? Yes, we did.
The Green Bay Packers released quarterback Joe Callahan on Saturday to make way for Aaron Rodgers’ grand return from injured reserve.
According to Demovsky, the Packers are re-signing Joe Callahan today. Obviously, they’ll need to make a roster spot for the guy, so what does that mean?
It probably means QB1 is being shut down for the year and the Packers are now playing for a draft pick.
The Packers are re-signing QB Joe Callahan to the roster, per a source. Callahan was released on Saturday to make room for Aaron Rodgers off IR. It could mean the Packers are considering shutting down Rodgers if they’re out of playoff contention, which would happen if the Falcons win tonight at Tampa Bay.
Will the Falcons win at Tampa Bay? I mean, probably.
The Packers beat them with Brett Hundley under center. And even if, by some chance, the Falcons don’t beat the Bucs, they’d still have to lose their last two games for the Packers to get into the playoffs. That, and a couple other things have to happen.
Either AR gets shut down or… well, maybe the Packers will finally release the useless Kyler Fackrell?
The real question is, if the Packers are bringing Callahan back and AR is down, do they actually give Joey C a chance to play?
I’d say, why the hell not?
Seems like the packers are making their first good decision this year
Yep
