My god, we all had the highest hopes with Aaron Rodgers coming back. That really didn’t matter for the Green Bay Packers.
Rodgers, uncharacteristically, threw three picks and, as usual, the Packers’ defense was not good enough.
AR was rusty to say the least. Mike McCarthy said he was going to unload the playbook for Rodgers and he did. The guy played with no fear. He threw, he took hits and he ran when it was available, without a second thought.
Hats off to QB1 for playing the way he played.
He just shortarmed some shit. That was part of the problem.
Had Rodgers hit Jordy Nelson on that deep ball in the fourth quarter, rather than it being a pick, it might have been a different game. Instead, QB1 underthrew Nelson and it was a pick. Nelson had beaten the coverage and was wide open with a beautifully-thrown ball. Wasn’t happening on this day.
Rust Never Sleeps. It’s a Neil Young album.

It’s also the truth.
The game wasn’t over yet, however. The suddenly little-used Marwin Evans recovered an onside kick. And we loved the Packers’ odds to tie it up with AR.
But then, Rodgers made the mistake of throwing to Geronimo Allison, who promptly caught the ball and had it punched out.
Game over.
The Packers go home. Their eight-year playoff streak, essentially ended.
So, Ginger Gap Tooth, you’ve always said making the playoffs is good enough. What do you do when the Packers don’t make the playoffs? Make changes?
I completely doubt it. Because you’re a status quo piece of shit so long as you’re making money.
And good for you.
But we deserve better from the team we own, don’t we? Aaron Rodgers deserves better.
If only someone was competent enough to build an actual team around Rodgers…
