By golly, if you like injury news, you are following the right football team!
Last week, tight end Martellus Bennett went on the shelf with mysterious shoulder injury. He was said to be seeking multiple opinions, which is never what you want to hear about an injured player. It usually means the guy is screwed for a good while and probably needs surgery.
What do we know this week?
Not much more, other than Bennett won’t practice and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game already.
Where is Bennett? Apparently still seeking opinions.
#Packers coach Mike McCarthy says TE Martellus Bennett (shoulder) is out this week vs. #Bears. He’s still getting opinions on his injury.

We’ve said it before. It has been a disappointing first season for Bennett with the Green Bay Packers. Twenty four catches, 233 yards, no touchdowns, plenty of drops.
Not exactly the field-stretching option Mike McCarthy had been pining for.
This is starting to smell like another injured reserve situation. And that would make for an even more disappointing finish to what might be Bennett’s only season with the Packers.
