What’s one of the Green Bay Packers’ biggest problems? Defense — okay. Pass rush — huge problem. Secondary — yeah, despite drafting Kevin King.
Meanwhile — and we highlighted it last year — Casey Hayward, the cornerback the Packers let go last year in free agency, continues to be one of the best cornerbacks in the league.
Crazy, right?

At this point, I would have to assume this was a coaching failure by the Green Bay Packers. How else could you explain it?
We were all sure the Packers should let Hayward go in favor of Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins after the 2016 season. We were all wrong.
The Packers gave Hayward a shot on the outside in 2015 and he returned largely lackluster results. However, in two years with the Chargers, Hayward has been one of the best cornerbacks in the league.
He has 11 interceptions in the past two years, thus far — seven in 2016 and four so far this year.
The Packers have a total of 12 picks since the time Hayward has signed with the Chargers.
Great move.
