I guess what else do you do when you’re a bachelor, estranged from your family and have to practice in the morning? If you’re Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, you have Thanksgiving with your teammates and their families.
I wonder if the friends are the family you choose hashtag is some sort of shot at Rodgers’ own family, considering the events of the past two years.
Here’s who I can pick out at Friendsgiving. Feel free to add if you know any of the others.
Trevor Davis, Davante Adams and his girlfriend, David Bakhtiari, Randall Cobb and his wife, Geronimo Allison, Aaron Rodgers, Jake Ryan, Jordy Nelson and his wife and kids.
Who else you got?
I think it’s pretty cool and tight that they all celebrated Thanksgiving together.
I think it would also be cool, if you could acknowledge it sans the personal shots about Rodgers.
What i find strange, is the writers on this site (otherwise known as “we”) have placed the blame on Rodgers family troubles on Olivia Munn. Now that Munn has been out of the picture, did you want to retract that?
Of course not.
Please enlighten us with the (latest) reason Rodgers is still estranged from his family, after all, you guys know everything.
It’s clear, although maybe not to many fans in Green Bay, that Aaron Rodgers is a closeted gay man. The Olivia Munn thing was a typical Hollywood sham, and she was his beard. Have you ever seen an NFL Quarterback like Rodgers, in the prime of his career, either not married, or not getting all of the pussy he wants?
The guy holding the kid on the left is a trainer or something like that. He’s always walking with the players when they get injured.
Joe Callahan is there, possibly next to (Joe Kerridge?) Looks like Josh Hawkins next to Rodgers. Nice of them all to share the picture.
Hundley and Janis must have gone deer hunting that day.
Sad that Aaron has no positives with his family. The dude holds a grudge even if there is no reason to hold a grudge.
Every family has odd dynamics and negative events and different family members will have differing attitudes of course. Just have to flow past like river water past a stone. From the rare public comments about missing Aaron and so on it is clear the family is ready to forgive and reconnect with Aaron. But it is a one-way street. Aaron seems to feel either it is totally over and they are disowned for ever and all time or that it is they who must be forgiven but only once they beg for it. Of course they do not even know what to beg for as they’ve done nothing wrong. What can they say? “Aaron, we all promise to never do that terrible unforgivable thing, whatever it was, that we never did anyway.”
Keep in mind, who is the bad guy here is pretty clear. Aaron disowned all his former friends and all his family all at the same time even to the extent of not attending his close grandfather’s funeral and so forth. There is just no practical way that all those dozens of people all did terrible unforgivable things all at once to Aaron. This is not about them doing significant (or any) wrong. This is about them being inconvenient to Aaron.
The grandfather, a big supporter of Aaron, is not even rumored to have transgressed against Aaron in nay way. So why did Aaron not attend the funeral? Simple cowardice. He could not face the family he disowned for no cause. If he had a conscience the guy wouldn’t be able to look in the mirror either.
Aaron is all about whatever is best for him. Having a beard and being gay was awkward with family around making observations. Aaron no longer has the beard Olivia but, how does he repair the damage he caused at this point with the kind of ego and self-serving nature he has?
He can’t really say to all of them. “Hey. sorry about disowning you all, I needed to do it to pull off the grand deception with that beard all in order to make more money from adds because, you know, 20+ million a year simply is not enough, I mean who can pay all the bills with that kind of meager income? I had no choice, had to do it folks but let’s hit the restart button now ‘cuz this whole no family thing is maybe going to impinge on my endorsements in the future. Just get it all straight — I’m straight, I’m the best son and brother ever, I’m an American football God/hero, and, remember, if asked, this whole family dispute was all you guys done me wrong but due to my big big big heroic God-like heart I forgave you right away after four years. OK, got it?”
He simply is not capable. I think. We’ll see if he can maybe pull it off eventually if things like his time off this season provides him some perspective and humility at last.
If so, he should send a thank you card to Anthony Barr for playing football by the rules the way it was meant to be played.
⬆️⬆️ Dude, you must be one of his brothers ‘venting’. ????Praise be.
