Packers Line Will Be Back, Most Likely

Monty McMahon by Monty McMahon

Two guys who can’t seem to get on the field for the Green Bay Packers will actually be on the field for the Green Bay Packers this week.

I’m talking about the offensive line. Specifically, the tackle position.

Both David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga have been removed from the injury report and are a go for Sunday.

Bakhtairi missed four games with a hamstring injury. He started last week against Minnesota before removing himself from the game.

Bulaga, well… who cares? Not only is this guy made out of glass, but it doesn’t matter whether he is or is not on the field. At any rate, he will presumably actually be on the field for a while this week. At least until he gets injured again.

Bulaga has cleared concussion protocol. How does an offensive lineman get a concussion?

Ask Bryan Bulaga. He might be the only lineman in history to have one.

The news isn’t all great, though.

Guard Lane Taylor, as expected, likely won’t play. Taylor is doubtful with an ankle injury. And suddenly, center Corey Linsley has shown up as questionable with a back injury.

Of the remainders on the injury list, the only notable is safety Morgan Burnett, who has been ruled out for a second straight week. So expect a heavy dose of Kentrell Brice because apparently, the Packers don’t like Josh Jones anymore.

I saw a Saints’ injury report. There were 2 names on it.
    TWO NAMES. WTF

Sure looked like some of the defensive players did not think they were getting the calls from Dix on time or at all in the Viking game. Burnett previously had the call duties. In the 2014 Saints game Burnett was out. I thought no big deal. It was a big deal. It does not look like Brees is throwing the ball deep as much anymore. A lot of short passes including to RBs. It will hurt not having Burnett in the game. This is the ideal game for Jones to receive several snaps next to Martinez.

    In other news….

“Brett Hundley is a great quarterback,” said former Packers defensive lineman Datone Jones. “He’s a future Hall-of-Famer.”

In response, Hundley had this to say…”Datone Jones is undoubtedly the best 1st round draft pick in Green Bay Packer history.”

Is Datone even employed? Oh look, I guess not.. Good job Ted. Your first round pick sucks at his position so much that he switches positions part way through his rookie contract. Then when you don’t resign him he can’t even stick with the Vikings, the team that scoops up former Packers like no other.

It also looks like he signed with the Lions about a week ago and has already been released. Datone is turning into a hot potato, and I think farmer Ted has a few more in his crop.

Way to cherry pick. Teddy T hits on more top picks than he misses on…Aaron Rodgers, A.J. Hawk, Jordy Nelson, BJ Raji/Clay Matthews, Bryan Bulaga, Nick Perry, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Damarious Randall (jury still out), Kenny Clark, Kevin King…. DERP! He’s batting like 10/13 … hmmm not bad especially when you’re annually drafting pick 25-32… Again, any thought put into that asinine comment? DERP!

        • PF4L says:

lol…ok, so 6 of those were over 7 years ago, if you count flash in the pan Raji.

Nick Perry-6 years ago is still over payed and injury prone, Let me know the next time Dix falls ass backwards into the Pro-Bowl.

Kenny Clark (serviceable) King…Like we know yet? Damarius Randall?….Put down the bottle.

Dam Randall with a HUGE pick on Brees a moment ago…& Nick Perry gets paid or leaves…then what? Derp!

& yes, we won a Superbowl with Raji & probably not without him.

Really dude? 10/13 1st round picks drafting at 26-36 ish … Really? Half the 1st round busts or under performs seasonally. Ask the Vikings how Corderrle Patterson, Laquan Treadwell & Shariff Flloyd have worked out… You cant deny it

I don’t what alternative football league you follow, but show me a NFL 1st round draft that had more than 32 picks.

Thank you for educating me on Ted’s draft choices and the vikings draft picks which don’t mean anything.

            Now put down the bottle.

        Oh… & Aaron Rodgers, A.J. Hawk. That’s 10/13 successful top picks… No big deal

  5. TyKo Steamboat says:

We better get this long snapper crap figured out quick. We wont beat the Saints with fields goals but that crap makes me nervous

  6. Kato says:

“How does an offensive lineman get a concussion.” Spoken like someone that has never played the game of football in his life. Jesus fucking Christ. Go ask Mike Webster’s family how he got CTE.
