You’ve probably heard by now that Justin Timberlake is performing this season’s Super Bowl halftime show. The league is already promoting the hell out of it.
Timberlake grew up in Memphis, so he’s probably not what you would consider your typical Green Bay Packers fan. Timberlake explained that to Nate Burleson (and talked about the halftime show) this week.
It’s all because of good old Brett Favre.
“At that time, Brett Favre was the king of the south,” Timberlake told former NFL receiver Nate Burleson. “Being where I was from, when he went to Green Bay, that’s where a lot of us in my hometown shifted to become Packers fans.”
“And also too, you got to respect a team that the city owns,” Timberlake said. “That’s one of the coolest things.”

Smart guy
Just get the local marching band. Who even gives a fuck about the halftime show ?
I seem to recall a “rumor” that Richard Petty is a Packers fan. Anyone know if that is true?
