He’s up, he’s down, he’s up, he’s down. Jermaine Whitehead seems to bounce between the Green Bay Packers practice squad and active roster more than anyone.
He’s bouncing again.
The Packers have brought safety Jermaine Whitehead up from the practice squad after placing quarterback Aaron Rodgers on injured reserve.
Whitehead was on the Packers’ roster, playing in two games during the 2016 season. He was on the Baltimore Ravens’ roster in 2015.
Whitehead will be the sixth safety on the Packers’ roster. Morgan Burnett will be out and miss his second consecutive game on Sunday, but we’re still not expecting Whitehead to play a big role. He will largely be used on special teams.
