Running back Eddie Lacy made his grand return to Green Bay as a member of the Seattle Seahawks. Things did not go well.
Lacy gained just three yards on a measly five carries. The bulk of the team’s carries went to rookie Chris Carson (six). C.J. Prosise got four.
This week, things have gotten worse for Lacy. The guy we expected would split carries with Lacy — Thomas Rawls — has returned to the lineup.
Lacy is not splitting carries with him. In fact, Lacy was a healthy inactive for Seattle.
That says a lot.
The Seahawks obviously like Rawls and Carson. Hell, they appear to even like the totally average Prosise better than Lacy.
Based upon what we’re currently seeing, I wouldn’t doubt Lacy ends up being released during the season. That’s a mighty tumble from being rookie of the year and Pro Bowler with the Packers back in 2013.
