The Green Bay Packers are surprisingly healthy going into week 1. The one question mark is right tackle Bryan Bulaga.
Bulaga hurt his ankle during a practice a couple weeks ago. He hasn’t done much since.
However, Bulaga has been practicing on a limited basis this week. That’s a decent sign he’ll be able to play this week against Seattle.
“I thought he looked good,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. “I know he felt good out there, so we’re going to go with the same approach today.”
We — and everyone else — has noted the terrible performance of the backups on the offensive line during the preseason. The good news is the best of that bunch has been right tackle Kyle Murphy.
If Bulaga weren’t able to go or had to come out against Seattle, we’d expect Murphy to step in.
It doesn’t appear that will be necessary, however.
Kyle Murphy is the best of our O-line depth?
That’s the good news?
