After seeing the hits they took last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, it should come as no surprise. Cornerback Damarious Randall and receiver Malachi Dupre will remain in concussion protocol this week.
Coach Mike McCarthy announced that they wouldn’t play in this week’s game vs. Washington, on Tuesday.
What we’ve been waiting for is word on if the Philadelphia Eagles will draw any fines for what looked like illegal hits. Randall was blindsided by Eagles receiver Bryce Treggs, who then defended himself (weakly) on Twitter. Dupre was hit by Eagles defensive back Tre Sullivan, who led with his helmet on the play.
In other injury news, backup center Don Barclay won’t practice or play this week, either. Barclay injured his ankle against Philadelphia in what at first appeared might be a season-ender. It now appears that won’t be the case, but there’s no word on how long Barclay will be sidelined.
