Actually, the Green Bay Packers haven’t officially put cornerback Herb Waters on injured reserve, but they have announced that he’ll miss the season with a shoulder injury.
Waters hasn’t participated since training camp opened, which is unfortunate.
An undrafted rookie in 2016 from Miami, Waters came into the league as a receiver. The Packers converted him to cornerback after putting him on the practice squad last year. We were looking forward to seeing what he could do on the field this year.
Waters had supposedly shown quite a bit of improvement from year one and his athletic ability made him a dark horse candidate to make the roster.
Now he’ll probably just be cut and given an injury settlement.
