The Green Bay Packers added a familiar face to the roster on Saturday, re-signing long snapper Brett Goode and his mullet.
Goode will apparently compete with Derek Hart for the job. Hart had been the only long snapper in camp, but it appears the Packers felt he was the issue for Mason Crosby missing field goals.
Crosby had an entirely new crew in front of him with Hart and rookie punter Justin Vogel. Although he was fine in the first preseason game, Crosby missed five of 11 kicks during Family Night.
This is familiar territory for the Packers. They tried to move on from Goode last year with Rick Lovato. However, Lovato was released during finals cuts and the Packers re-signed Goode shortly thereafter.

Interesting….
Some years ago, like 7-9 years ago, weren’t the Packers the “envy” of the league for finding and developing talent?
Talk about doing a 180 about 6 years ago. Now when we draft, we desperately need them to perform….NOW!
Cue the circus music.
Yes, make them perform NOW, like the Browns do, but at least theirs are high draft picks, so at least one can assume they have more talent or are more NFL-ready.
The season is saved now
