Hey, we never know how long these things are going to last. A guy might be cut before training camp is out. Nonetheless, we still love certain guys who used to play for the Green Bay Packers. Guys like Tramon Williams.
We didn’t think Tramon was going to get another deal after being released by the Cleveland Stinkass Browns. That’s actually trademarked… the Cleveland Stinkass Browns.
Serious.
But today, our boy signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
And he actually has a chance to start. The Cards lost a guy named Ronald Zamort, who they apparently had penciled in as a starter, during an intrasquad scrimmage to an ACL injury.
So, yeah. Hold your breath during Family Night.
Tramon will reportedly compete with Justin Bethel and Brandon Williams for that starting spot. And even though Tramon is 34, I’ll put my money on Tramon.
Not sure why the Browns would let this treasure leave. The Browns gifted him just over 13 mill. For that cash investment he had a total of 2 picks, and 15 passes defended in 2 seasons. Barely missing being voted to the Pro-Bowl and being named DPOY.
It’s a wonder why big Ted didn’t bring this legend back.
Arizona is supposed to be a contender and he may start at corner? Good for him but they are nowhere near a Super Bowl team then.
A strong pass rush can cover a lot of deficiencies on the back end. the 2011 giants didn’t exactly have a good secondary but they beat Tom Brady.
Correct…..Conversely, a strong secondary can make up for the sins of a deficient Def. line.
It’s when you suffer at both, that you may find yourself down 31-0 in a NFCCG. Or when you can’t draft quality on defense for years and years and it catches up to you to where you strictly draft for need every year but then continually swing and miss.
But…..we had a strong free agency and draft class….
LET’S DO THIS!!!
In Ted we Trust.
