Jared Abbrederis Can Apparently Still Catch

Mordecai Jones by Mordecai Jones

We found it pretty crappy when the Green Bay Packers released Badger great Jared Abbrederis last season, primarily because they didn’t give him a chance to play.

Stay healthy?

Check.

Have the best preseason of any receiver?

Check.

Fellate Mike McCarthy?

…

I guess that last one wasn’t checked off because Abbrederis got all of 24 snaps in 2016 before the Packers released him.

When the season ended Abbrederis signed with the Detroit Lions. Is he going to make the Lions’ roster? Will he get some playing time in Detroit?

I honestly have no idea because, really, who gives a crap about the Detroit Lions? I don’t know who even plays for them other than Butterball and Jared Abbrederis.

However, I can tell you the Lions have been raving about Abbrederis’ route running — something Aaron Rodgers also once did. And the guy can still catch the ball.

You can see those posts are several days apart. Is it the same catch?

I would imagine.

But that’s beside the point. I really hope this guy actually gets a legitimate shot and is able to do something with it.

The Packers surely didn’t give him one.

No it’s not the same catch. You can tell by the defender wearing different shorts/pants, and jersey long sleeve/ short.

Jared may run great routes and catch the ball in practice. I just remember that he always appeared to miss games because he could not stay healthy when involved in limited live action.

There is one other guy that plays for the Lions that you should know. Most Packer fans him as TJ Lang. You may only know him as Motherfucker as that is what I remember you calling him in an article.

lmfao Howard……This is why we all love you my man.

Some guys just don’t know when to leave, even when he knows nobody wants him here. This is one of those guys.

Maybe that’s what happens when someone has no circle of friends, and their only enjoyment in life is keeping up with the latest gossip. The hanger on’s, trying to belong……sad.

“Jared is a fine football player” – MM
Dude did 4 reps at 225 at the combine. I did that at age 16. Maybe strength was the issue?

Catching was never the issue. He’s the only player the Packers have had that’s more injury prone than The Paytaker Matthews.
