The best news we’ve heard so far this week: Hank Williams Jr. is coming back to Monday Night Football.
As it should be.
ESPN announced the news early this morning.
Hank first performed a version of All My Rowdy Friends to open Monday Night Football in 1989. He was dumped from the gig six years ago and replaced with this generic crap.
Meanwhile, Carrie Underwood was boring the hell out of us on Sunday Night Football.
The new, old song will be back September 11.
This upcoming season just gets better and better. Football just weren’t the same without him.
ESPN getting desperate to reclaim some of their lost glory.
Yay, a 40 second commercial with country music before Monday night games. I should be excited why? Nothing against Hank Williams Jr., but it’s the equivalent of getting excited to watch your favorite rock band do the McDonalds jingle.
Oh boy, fat untalented racists are so rare these days. Maybe they can whip some African slaves for half time entertainment while they’re at it.
