This one came right out of left field. The Green Bay Packers’ all-time leading rusher, Ahman Green, was arrested Sunday night on felony suspicion of child abuse.
Green was taken in by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department early Monday morning. The official charge: felony child abuse — intentionally causing harm/cruelty toward a child.
Green, who is currently being held without bond, could face up to six years in prison if convicted.
The sheriff’s department had this to say, according to TMZ.
“We had contact with Mr. Green on Sunday June 25th at 11:30 p.m. He was arrested for physical abuse of a child in a family related incident.”
“The referral has been made to the Brown County District Attorney’s Office and any additional requests will need to be made to them as we cannot comment on pending cases.”
