Mike Daniels Talks About Mike Daniels In The Third Person

The NFL Network is doing their top 100 players now. Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Mike Daniels is on that list.

He moved up from No. 95 last year to No. 84 this year. Daniels didn’t have the huge year on the stat sheet in 2016 that we hoped for. He finished the year with 33 tackles and four sacks.

Daniels’ career highs in those categories are 49 (2015) and 6.5 (2013). So, it was somewhat of a disappointing campaign.

That said, Daniels was the only guy on the Packers’ defensive line that the opposition had to bother double teaming and they usually did. There were times I saw Daniels get triple teamed. So that could help explain the decrease in production.

Obviously, the other players in the league respect Daniels. We do too, but we’d really like to see him dominate.

So would Mike Daniels.

Mike Daniels is not pleased with how last season ended and he is holding Mike Daniels accountable.

That’s right. Like many great men before him — George Costanza comes immediately to mind — Mike Daniels is now referring to himself in the third person.

Clay Matthews was also on the list at No. 82.

Play better, talk less. Showing up in a big game would be a nice start.

Is there a list players could give two shits about less then this top 100 stuff? Seriously I bet teams have to pay certain guys to say shit like, “yea Daniels is definitely worthy of number of being number 84.” This is the dumbest fucking thing the NFL network does every off season.

“Mike Daniels finished the season pretty well” – Mike Daniels

3 playoff games…10 tackles, 0 everything else across the board (just like the rest of the defense).

Although Daniels did win tough talk of the playoffs award, when asked about the Falcons pre-game plan to beat their defense and said….”Everyone has a plan, until they get punched in the mouth.”

    Atlanta 44…Packers 21

I think it was the Packers who got punched in the mouth.

As far as that video of him, telling us how he’s going to unleash his rage against his opponents this season…..He’s had 2 sacks his last 13 games…how about shut the fuck up about what you’re gonna do, and get out on the field and actually do it.

I don’t GAF if he’s been double teamed, cry me a river. Is he the 1st NFL player who’s ever been double teamed?

Gettin tired of this dudes song and dance.

Maybe once Daniels gives birth to that baby he’s carrying around, we’ll see some results.

“Not looking for a soundbite, quotes, or a rah-rah speech. If you need that go home. You’re in the wrong buisness.”

I don’t recall the Titans being scared to run right at and through Daniels on the first 75 yard TD run, and the rest of the 47 point debacle. The Packers D including Daniels could not hold up against almost any offense, but physical offenses with a mediocre to good QB had their way with Daniels and the Packer D for long stretches in games. I didn’t notice any Daniel highlights and soundbites from the Titan game. They must have just forgot those highlights.

Some of the guys in the NFL spend to much effort trying to promote their brand. I would prefer the Packers have players who can make a case on the field that they should be on the all-Joe team.
