I always like to laugh at commercials featuring NFL players wearing their jerseys off the field. These dudes don’t wear their jerseys off the field! That’s so stupid! Unless, apparently, you are former Green Bay Packers safety LeRoy Butler.
LeRoy Butler wears his own jersey out shopping, it appears. So next time you’re strolling around Pick N Save and you see a guy in a LeRoy Butler jersey, it might actually be LeRoy Butler himself!
Best day of shopping ever at Pick n Save. Ran into LeRoy Butler. Go Packers. pic.twitter.com/Ybg3uGgrVu

Look, I love LeRoy. Should be in the Hall of Fame. The case for that has been made here at least three times. As we see it, it’s a slam dunk, but the crusty-ass Hall of Fame voters don’t like safeties for some reason — even a safety who revolutionized how the position is played.
All of that being said, c’mon man!
I would (and do) totally expect this of Antonio Freeman.
But LeRoy, most guys don’t wear their own damn jerseys to the grocery store!
Who gives a shit. I think it’s pretty sweet. He has more of a right to wear that jersey than any other Joe Shmoe. Yet no one bats an eye when some guy wears a jersey with another mans name on the back of it.
To be fair, he could’ve just come from (or heading to) a signing event or something. I really doubt he just wears it around.
Saw The Butler at the ShopKo once in De Pere looking at DVD players in the electronics section. Was not sporting the #36 jersey.
