We saw Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers enjoying himself with some teammates and Tom Brady at the Kentucky Derby last week. SB Nation sent Charlotte Wilder there to write a long, flowing piece on the event and of course she tracked down Rodgers.
AR was hanging out by himself listening to someone — not Ben Harper — perform a Ben Harper song at the Barnstable Brown Party. And this is where we learned QB1 loves Ben Harper.
Wilder asked Rodgers if he plays an instrument. He does — the guitar.
“Ben is the reason I play. I sent him a signed jersey after I saw him in concert, and he sent me back a guitar. Can you believe that? He sent me a guitar!”
That conversation then led to a run-in with Eric Bakhtiari, brother of David.
“Aaron hates this shit,” says Bakhtiari, referring to people asking Rodgers for photos. “Normally, you know who I let through? Veterans and attractive women. My brother guards Aaron on the field, I guard my brother off it.”
That’s funny because Rodgers is always posing for selfies with random fans. I suppose that says something about him — he hates doing it, but he does it anyway.
So, knowing this, do you ask Aaron Rodgers to take a selfie with you if you run into him?
