Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett is in a pretty good situation.
He’s gone from playing with Tom Brady and winning a title in New England, to playing with Aaron Rodgers and aiming for another one in Green Bay.
That caused him to draw up this analogy on Thursday.
“That’s like leaving J. Lo and going to Halle Berry,” Bennett said. “We talk often. I’m excited about playing with him. We’ve known each other for a while. I’m excited about working with him and learning his quarterback language and showing him what type of player I am. I think I’m a lot better player than they think I am.”
Interesting comparison. Personally, I prefer Halle Berry.
Anyway, it’s great that Bennett is already communicating with Rodgers. Getting on Rodgers good side and creating chemistry with him is the key for any receiver having success with the Packers.
As we’ve seen time and again, if Rodgers doesn’t like the way you do things, he simply won’t involve you in the offense.
We have a feeling Bennett is going to be plenty involved this season.
