The NFL Network will again begin counting down the top 100 players in the league — as voted on by other players — on May 1. Where are we going to see Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers?
Most likely somewhere right near the top. Top three would seem to be a safe bet.
He’ll certainly have competition from New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and, we would imagine, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.
Last year, after his subpar 2015 season, Rodgers finished sixth. The year before, he was second behind Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.
As part of the promo package for this year’s list, NFL Films whipped out a clip from Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell. He was asked who the best player in the league is and he has a non-answer.
That it’s either Brady or Rodgers.

Off topic, but we know about Brady and Rodgers.
Just wondering what anyone thinks about trading for Richard Sherman, maybe trying to sign Marshawn Lynch.
I’m not a huge fan of either, but they would be upgrades…any thought’s?
Great idea, Sneaky Pete (Carrol) will msybe give up Sherman for 3 years of first round draft spots and Clay Matthews….
Why don’t you propose that to Trader Ted…
So…….we dump Mathews bloated contract…We give up 3 of Teds 1st round draft picks, future players like Kenny Clark, Randall, and Dix.
All for a guy who can play football?….you’re right, dumb idea. Sometimes i just don’t think. Give away Ted Thompson 1st round draft picks? What was i thinking!!??….lmao.
Picture Chris Farley hitting himself in the head, calling himself stupid….that’s me :)
Lynch is going to the Raiders. Sherman will end up with the Pats.
Lynch isn’t playing for anyone besides the raiders. Sherman would be alright. A first round would be all I give up for him. Don’t like the guy and he is getting old, but he is still solid.
Just curious, what makes you sure that Lynch will only play for the Raiders?
Well, Oakland is his hometown. And he specifically let them know he was interested in playing football. Not mention he does a lot of charity work in Oakland and seems very attached to the city. The timing of his proclamation of playing again and the announcement of the Raiders moving to Vegas also leads me to think he wants to try and bring a last super bowl to Oakland before the team leaves.
I am not saying it’s impossible for him to play anywhere else, I just think it is extremely unlikely. Just my opinion, I could very well be way off.
It was conversation piece. Then someone suggested it would take 3 first round draft picks, it was at that point that common sense left the discussion.
