File this under Hard To Believe, Not Really. Even though tight end Jared Cook is one of the Green Bay Packers two must-sign free agents, there appears to be little progress on that front.
The Packers have had conversations with Cook and that’s about it.
#Packers are talking to TE Jared Cook about returning. Not much progress. Packers are being frugal, so far.

The Packers are being frugal…
On one hand, that’s fine. There’s no need to break the bank for Cook, who had 30 catches for 377 yards in the regular season. Despite his playoff success (18 for 229), there probably isn’t a huge market for his services. Plus, the Packers know he wants to play with Aaron Rodgers and likely wants to taste the playoffs again after he did so for the first time in his career, last season.
The Packers do hold some leverage.
On the other hand, GET THE DAMN DEAL DONE!
