No surprise here. No surprise at all.
Linebacker Julius Peppers signed with the Carolina Panthers earlier this week and a lot of Green Bay Packers fans were ticked.
We explained why they shouldn’t be here.
Regardless of whether you’re angry about Peppers’ departure or not, we do know the Packers don’t care one iota.
Meanwhile, in non-TE news, a league source said this evening that as with Micah Hyde, #Packers never made Julius Peppers an offer.

We knew it would play out this way.
In fact, I would suggest Peppers is going back to Carolina on a victory tour. Home state boy made good, here’s your reward.
And frankly, good for him.
No ill will for Julie. He deserves a goddam victory tour as one of the game’s all-time greats (and imagine if he actually tried hard).
Julius Peppers gave the Packers three good years at the end of his career. He wasn’t going to give them a fourth. He isn’t giving anyone a fourth.
We saw the diminishing returns on the field in 2016. The only thing I will feel bad about is the Packers didn’t win a Super Bowl with him.
I would have loved to see Julie go out with a title.
Julius Peppers can feel free to punch Ted Thompson in the face for that shortcoming.
We payed roughly a million a sack. I’m not sure why he would expect an offer from us at his age, best to him, were all good. If the Panthers want to pay the old man millions…Godspeed..
I don`t understand why this is an issue. I seriously doubt if TT or MM showed any disrespect to Peppers. They most likely told him after the season ended that they were going in a different direction. What were they supposed to do? sign him for one more year? He did give them 3 good years. Played verty well, proved he`s still got it. Packers could have won it for him in 2014 but they blew it!
Peppers contributed to blowing it, when he told Burnett to “get down!”. 5 minutes left in the game, Packers up by 12, the games over!!…………Or so the Packer players thought…you know the rest of the story.
While I agree BP 257, age actually caught up to him in last year’s playoff run. Maybe if Bostick didn’t botched the onside kick, MM didn’t go conservative, or Burnett didn’t slide, we might have won.
Peppers doesn’t have anything going left in the tank. He disappears for games at a time. TT actually made the correct decision to let him walk. JP will go to the hall and deserve it.
Ignored Peppers? What is Monty thinking. Peppers is washed up and he is aging. We don’t need aging players like Demarcus Ware or Julius Peppers. Yes he was a good player with us but last year in the 2017 NFC Championship should that age finally caught up to him. What did he do in the Falcons or Cowboys game? Nothing! So no Monty we did not ignore Peppers.
