The NFL’s arcane, heavy-handed rules on celebrations have perturbed me for some time. They were brought to light last season when Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams dunked over the goalpost after scoring a touchdown in Detroit.
The Packers were penalized 15 yards and Adams drew a $12,000 fine. For celebrating… during a game of football…
We just cannot have celebratory displays of individualism. Someone might die and death hurts the shield.
On Thursday, the NFL’s Executive VP of Football Operations (and Badger great) Troy Vincent let everyone know that the league is creating an educational video to show players what is and isn’t acceptable when it comes to celebrating.

To which I say… suck my ass, NFL.
Do you know who else told the NFL to suck his ass? Packers tight end Martellus Bennett.
His rant is glorious and spot on.

A players that actually has something to say. Like a breath of fresh air!
Preach Martellus
When Bennett actually runs and builds a business that has grown like the NFL, then Bennett can “preach” how to run it.
Bennett’s a player, not a shot caller. Know your role.
This may or may not end well, but the Packers knew what they were getting with him. The question is, are they strong enough to handle him? I have my doubts.
These “men” need to grow the fuck up and stop acting like little kids for just doing their job – ****See Barry Sanders and act like you’ve been there before.
The NFL is a business, peoples kids emulate what they see on a NFL field. NFL revenue has grown what?…200% since Goodell took over? Who benefits from that….yes the players, as in 50% of all revenue that enters the players pockets.
Who owns the league? They run the league, they make the rules. If players don’t like it, start your own league. Maybe start a league like the XLF where anything goes….that worked out well didn’t it? Go play in the CFL and take a 80% pay cut.
Were not even to May camp, and Bennett is already going off at the mouth while representing the Packers.
Now i wonder if Jared Cook ends up up having the last laugh.

Let the players express their individuality and creativity.
Like gyrating like your banging someone? Yea, thats fucking creative….lol. That’s what parents want their 9 year olds to emulate after scoring a td at flag football.
You want to be an individual? You want to be creative? Then fucking do something….it doesn’t have to be done at your workplace does it? Go on dancing with the stars. make art…show it at gallery. WHATEVER….just grow up.
See, now i already don’t like this fuck…lol
