Hell, Davon House could have signed with the Green Bay Packers and immediately been their No. 1 cornerback.
Frankly, that’s how sad the state of affairs is for the Packers.
Here’s a guy who was basically benched — he played just over 200 snaps in 2016 — by the junior varsity Jacksonville Jaguars.
That said, I’ve come around on House. He’s not a tackler, but who is among the Packers’ current cornerback group?
He was pretty damn good in coverage in 2015, though. That was his first season in Jacksonville, when they let him be their No. 1 corner. During that season, he knocked down 23 passes.
That’s an amazing number.
Frankly, as Rob pointed out, the Jaguars waste talent. It’s why they’re a perennial JV squad.
At any rate, it now looks like House isn’t going to come back to the Packers.
More reason for depression: source says House will sign soon. But not #Packers.

Huge loss?
Nah, let’s not overreact. House would have only potentially made the Packers’ sucktacular secondary slightly better.
He isn’t/wasn’t/won’t be the replacement for Sam Shields the team needs.
They can only really find that guy in one of three ways.
That’s a little vague.
If he knows that House isn’t signing with the Packers, then surely he must know who he’s signing with.
This dude sounds like a hack as he’s the only one reporting this.
I’m about ready to throw in the towel on this team…..until………
Thank god we finished the season strong and made the playoffs. I sure wouldn’t want to miss this every year.
Stay tuned for……..How big TED fixes all that ails this team in one single draft!!!!
Like the stellar 2015, and 2016 drafts…..In Ted We Trust!!
Now that the NCAA tournament is starting I will not be paying attention to football until the draft. Plus we know what will happen. I’m still in shock though about Bennett. But the corners will be the current group plus a couple more UDFAs. If they get their pad level right they will be fine this year.
You know TT will be watching that tournament too. Can’t let any basketball players slip through the scouting process. Ain’t nobody foolin hawk eye Ted.
Not that House was the answer or a giant improvement, but what else are they gonna do? Their corners suck and their depth just got worse.
I’m wondering if this report even has any merit. There are no reports about this. As a matter of fact, there are no reports about anyone besides the Packers, interested in House.
Time will tell.
House isn’t even that good anyways. He is better than our corners we have now but he wouldn’t be the answer.
