Pat Lee – CB, 6’ 200, 2008 Rd. 2 (60th overall), Auburn
Despite not becoming a starter at Auburn until his senior year and though the Packers already had Charles Woodson, Al Harris, Tramon Williams and Will Blackmon on the roster, Thompson apparently expected Lee to develop into a future starter.
Lee redshirted as a freshman at Auburn. He was benched after starting five games as a sophomore. As a junior, he still started only four games. In his 48-game college career, he only had 48 tackles, 20 pass deflections and five interceptions. He did, however, make second-team All-SEC in his final season.
In his rookie year in Green Bay, Lee’s only significant playing time was on special teams. In December of that year, he went on injured reserve with a lingering knee injury. After missing all of 2009, he stayed on with Green Bay through the 2010 and 2011 seasons, but only recorded 19 tackles in that time. He also returned 14 kickoffs, but only for about a 20-yard average.
After spending four years with the Packers, Lee’s career came to an end in 2012. He was first with Oakland for eight games and then he finished out the year with Detroit. He actually started seven games for the Raiders, but was waived, so he must have been very impressive.
