Ha Ha Clinton-Dix Backtracks On Criticism of Dom Capers

This was probably to be expected. Green Bay Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has backtracked on his criticism of defensive coordinator Dom Capers.

Clinton-Dix spoke out about not liking Capers’ play calling in an Instagram tribute to Sam Shields on Thursday. In it, he wrote: “Thank you for lining up and playing whatever Dom capers called rather WE liked it or not you was all in.”

Today, Clinton-Dix posted this on Twitter.

Dom capers play calling is Good enough We have to get the Play executed as a Defense this a business Im all in Wit Dom so miss me with that.

— Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (@haha_cd6) February 10, 2017

Capers’ play calling is good enough. Not great.

We all know that, though, don’t we?

Just what the hell the rest of that statement means is anyone’s guess.

“Im all in Wit Dom so miss me with that.”

???????

Anyone want to interpret that for us?

We get the part where he’s with (or wit) Dom, but aren’t so sure about the rest.

As for execution, yes. We 100 percent agree. If the Packers’ defense — especially the secondary — were able to execute once in a while, that would really be great. But that comes down to preparation, which also comes down to coaching.

So, there you go.

As a non-native English speaker, sometimes I care too much whether what I say is properly said, and understandable. Thanks, HaHa. If you speak like that and people still understand you (for the most part), then English is waaaay more flexible than I anticipated.

He’s young guys, give him a break. Don’t act like none of you hadn’t participated in some activity, slang, or mannerisms that may have made you appear less than intelligent. Hell even Woodson was a bit of a flashy guy before maturing.

With that said I have high hopes for Dix, I hooe he understands how much he’s capable of in this defense. He’s gifted, and somewhat an intelligent player on the field. I just wish he’s had some guidance or role model closer to his age to help out. It’s certainly not Burnett and outside of that this defense has no one that’ll step up to that plate.

But isn’t it Darren Perry’s job to get him to play to his potential?

Did anyone else see this article this morning on ESPN?

    http://www.espn.com/blog/green-bay-packers/post/_/id/37458/packers-can-re-build-their-defense-around-ha-ha-clinton-dix

“If there’s someone Capers and McCarthy can build around on defense, it’s Clinton-Dix. He is arguably general manager Ted Thompson’s best first-round pick since Clay Matthews in 2009 or Aaron Rodgers in 2005.”

Really, Demovsky? I will take Micah Hyde every day over Clinton-Dix. Yeah, he’s on the field all the time, but that’s part of the problem….he’s on the field all the time missing assignments, taking out his own players, etc. Oh, wait… I forgot about the 5 interceptions this season. My bad, he’s awesome.

      Lmao….PDL…

You threw me for a loop, until i read the last paragraph.

One thing Demovsky needs to realize is, if you need to build your defense around Clinton Dix. You might already be in big trouble.

I refuse to read Rob Demovsky’s garbage. I got to know him while he was a reporter with the softball team of Packer reporters at Packernews.com. Their whole Packer apologist staff is a bunch of gutless marshmallow’s shaking in their Rockports at the sight of McCarthy.

Their idea of a good day is not irking anyone in the Packer organization. So they make damn sure they have a good day, everyday. And keep their job.

As far as the 5 picks he had…2 or 3 were simply playing centerfield and catching overthrown balls. I’m not saying he didn’t make any plays. I’m just sayin.

This defense is full of first round busts. I see zero improvement in Dix. His best game as a pro was the Wild Card game at Washington and he hasn’t flashed since.

His rookie year he hit like Kentrell Brice but a few years within the Packers candyass anti tackling culture and the guy isn’t even noticeable out there.

And his showing off his Wonderlich for all the world to see gives me little reason to think he’s going to evolve.

I would trade Haha for Landon Collins right now and I would throw in a mid to late round pick too. That’s how big the gap is between those two players.

Haha being named All Pro is a slight to every player ever named All Pro. That shit used to mean something. Not anymore.
