The Green Bay Packers’ injury report was shorter this Friday than it has been on most Fridays. Just six players are listed for the Packers as they head to face the Dallas Cowboys.
The big one, of course, is receiver Jordy Nelson, who we knew would be out this morning. Running back James Starks and center J.C. Tretter are also listed as out. Neither player has played in several weeks, so their continued absence really changes nothing at this point.
Cornerback Quinten Rollins, receiver Jeff Janis and linebacker Jayrone Elliott are listed as questionable.
Elliott was a full participant in practice this week and is expected to be available for the first time since week 15, when he broke his hand. Both Rollins and Janis were limited in practice this week. Rollins still needs to clear concussion protocol and Janis is dealing with a quad bruise. However, we do expect Janis to play. He finished last week’s game with the same injury.
What is perhaps more significant are the number of players who have been completely removed from the injury report. There are seven in total — Randall Cobb, T.J. Lang, Blake Martinez, Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers and Nick Perry. Perhaps the only question mark there was Martinez, who got his ankle rolled up on last week, but it’s good to see nonetheless.
