Late Heroics, Packers Over Cowboys… Holy Shit!

Man, I don’t even know what to say. The Green Bay Packers at times looked like they were going to run away with this one, but the Dallas Cowboys never gave up and they kept coming.

It was 28-13 after Aaron Rodgers hit Jared Cook with 11:25 left in the third quarter. We were all prepared for the rout. And then all of a sudden it was 28-28 and then 31-31, but the Cowboys made one fatal mistake.

They didn’t run the clock to zero when they tied the score. We were having flashbacks — Oh, good! We’ll lose in the playoffs for the third time in three years in overtime!

Not on this fucking day.

Because you don’t give Aaron Rodgers 35 seconds.

He gave the Packers the one shot they needed after hitting tight end Jared Cook for 36 yards down to the Cowboys’ 32 with three seconds left. Great throw, great catch.

And on came Mason Crosby to do what he does. From 51 yards out, right as rain.

And the Packers move on to play the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship game.

Never saw it coming, but when you have AR, QB1, you’ve always got a chance. We’ll see what the two MVP candidates have to say to each other next weekend.

I apologize I can’t give you anymore analysis right now. I have to get drunker!!!!!!!!

It’s time to celebrate motherfuckers!

But I will give you this. His back must be getting heavy, because Aaron Fucking Rodgers is carrying this team right now: 28-of-43, 356, two TDs, a pick and a GIGANTIC FUCK YOU to the No. 1 seed Dallas Cowboys!

You like that Dak? You like that Zeke?

Sit down and take your medicine.

  1. Gort January 15, 2017

WOW and holy crap. Tons of gutsy performances and Crosby came through twice.
Initial compliant is that the claymaker had zero stats for the game and never heard his name except for when he got faked out of his jockstrap.

    1. Savage57 January 16, 2017

      It. Is. Time.

Time to either restructure this guy or just say sayonara. Seldom has so little production come at such a great cost.

The CMIII who signed the contract isn’t the same one trying to fulfill it.

  2. Howard January 15, 2017

Never have I seen a defensive player play as well with a big ass cast on his hand as has Nick Perry. He made some clutch plays. His pass knockdown before the Dallas field goal made it possible for Rodgers to perform his magic. Perry will give new meaning to a onearmed bandit after the season. He will get paid by someone, hopefully it is the Packers.

    1. PF4L January 15, 2017

The pass knockdown hit him in the chest.

But you’re right, he’s still making plays. Just think what he might have done with more than 1 hand. I was wrong about him with a club. But everyone else i watched play with one, was ineffective.

      1. Howard January 15, 2017

I never thought he could play as well as he has with a cast. Maybe there is some sort of hook built in?

      2. Kato January 15, 2017

Yeah, Aaron Rodgers won the game by himself. Although I will say if Perry didn’t “knock it down”, it would have been picked

        1. Howard January 15, 2017

I’ve looked at the replay and I respectfully disagree. No way would that ball have been picked. Gunter was behind and shielded by Dez. Maybe Gunter could have knocked it away or Dez could have dropped the pass, but the way Dez was playing it probably was a first down.

In review Peppers and Matthews also had a big role in that play. Peppers took out two offensive linemen in a stunt that helped Matthews get pressure and a hit on Dak that may have effected the throw. Great teamwork by the D line.

  3. Gort January 15, 2017

Hey Howard, the Packers have more hero’s than Kelly.

    1. Howard January 15, 2017

Woof, Woof,Woof. ;-). Packers 3 for 3 red zone TDs. Cowboys 2 for 4 red zone TD percentage!

      01/14/2017 at 7:50 am
Always with the negative waves Moriarty, ALWAYS with the negative waves!
Oh, man. Don’t hit me with those negative waves so early in the morning.

One item missed that will be big is converting red zone trips into touchdowns. The Cowboys have been one of the top teams in doing so. The Packer D needs to try to limit the Cowboys to field goals.

To send out some positive waves the Packer offense while not good at converting red zone trips to TDs early in the season have been excellent in the last few weeks. Limit red zone TDs to the Cowboys and convert Packer red zone trips to TDs. That puts pressure on the Cowboys. GO PACK!

            How the Packers could win……
            1) Aaron Rodgers

  4. PF4L January 15, 2017

31-31, 35 seconds left, ball on the 25 yard line…who ya gonna call?

Aaron fucking Rodgers!!..and Mason “I got this” Crosby!!

    1. icebowl January 15, 2017

Amazing….. ready to write that one off and add it to list of MM last play losses….

I aged 10 years in that 4th quarter alone..

  5. TyKo Steamboat January 15, 2017

Thank Fat Mike… the timeouts in the 1st quarter … the clock management
No Ryan Grant to fumble today… no back-up tight end mishandle an onside kick…

Thank your lucky stars Packers fans. You will realize how lucky we are in 10 years.
Lay back, enjoy the show & love this time, baby. Fat Mike is one of the best. Real Talk

    1. PF4L January 15, 2017

What am i missing here Tyko that i should be kissing McCarthy’s ass? That he called a good timeout?…gee…good job Mike! What an accomplishment!

A special teamer didn’t shit the bed? Other than Michael. Good Job Mike!!

I’ll give credit to to the ones who deserve it. The ones on the field doing all the work. When we get to the final game AND win it. I’ll show McCarthy his due.

      Here’s how McCarthy stated it.

“Division titles are important,” McCarthy said, “but I don’t lose any sleep over it. Because we have a bigger goal. We don’t hang divisional title banners around here. So, frankly, once you cross the threshold into the playoffs, it’s about getting to the final game and winning. I want everybody to think that way, and I want everybody to behave that way, and I want everybody to train that way and aspire for that to be.

      1. PF4L January 15, 2017

Until then, i’m not thanking Fat Mike for getting into the playoffs and losing like the last 5 seasons. Getting into the playoffs with Rodgers at QB and a dollar, will buy you a cup of coffee.

        1. Kato January 15, 2017

While I think you are overly critical of MM, his conservatism in the drive before the cowboys tied it was annoying. That run that went for negative yards was infuriating. I like MM for the most part, but he can be infuriating

          1. PF4L January 15, 2017

Kato…Please respond to someone else other than me in the future, i don’t have any time for you for reasons you are aware of. I’m asking nice…..once.

            Thank you for understanding.

    2. Empacador January 15, 2017

Fat Mike didn’t fuck the dog for a change. Congrats. Again, let’s see him go to a perennial loser and turn them around without Rodgers before anointing McCarthy as Lombardi 2.0. He still has to get through Atlanta and the Super Bowl without resorting to being a meathead. Will he succeed? Stay tuned.

      1. Kato January 16, 2017

        He almost did

        1. Empacador January 16, 2017

Bay steps Kato, baby steps. This is a marked improvement from what we are used to seeing from McCarthy.

  6. Go pack January 15, 2017

That’s exactly what we needed and will need next week! A fast start and hope to hold on and have the ball in our hands at the end. The d showed they can’t close it out. Hope Burnett is ok and would be great to get jordy back.

Hyde and perry have been the main guys on that d. I really hope we can get both back next season. Without those 2, we’d already be eliminated.

On to Atlanta. Another team that don’t scare me on d. Julio looked hobbled but they have sanu, Gabriel and two good rb. Oh well, gonna enjoy this one for a while before worrying about next week. Like I yelled after the kick went in, fuck Dallas! Go pack go.

    1. Dogan Gregory January 17, 2017

Pick your poison week coming! Rush 4 and get pounded…..or do some blitzing! Change it up…..Maybe Clay will try this week! You never know…..How about Datone Jones? What abourt Daniels? This is a BIG game….. might want to give it your best effort!!!

    1. Go pack January 15, 2017

Wow. The main reason I was glad we won right there. All cowboys fans are such sorry pieces of shit douchbags. Everyone I know that isn’t a Dallas fan and has gone to a Dallas game has some back saying the same thing, Dallas fans are annoying, pathetic pieces of shit. Fuck all of you and your loser of a franchise!

      1. Empacador January 16, 2017

Once upon a time back in 1989, buddy and I went to Packer game in Los Angeles for the debut of Tony Mandarich. The infamous 38-7 @ half time, lost 41-38. Rams “fans” were talking shit to us without provocation on our way out of the stadium about how the Packers got their asses kicked. Really? 38-7 at the half and you win by 3 is an ass kicking? It was also during this time that one of my roommates just happened to be both a Cowboy AND a Bills fan. Talk about covering your ass…

A couple things occurred to me during my time in So Cal. EVERY team has douche bag fanatics, and everyone in So Cal comes from somewhere else and roots for other teams. That is why it is a damn shame that market has 2 teams again. Wait until the LA teams win something, the looting and rioting will be epic! Unfortunately, winning brings out the over the top band wagon fanatics. Except Minnesota. And Denver. Fuck the Donkeys, and especially fuck Elway. And this feeling is before the Donkeys beat the Packers in the Super Bowl. Because Fuck Elway.

      2. Dogan Gregory January 17, 2017

Yeah…..They are all complaining about how the refs were in for the fix!!! LOL

    2. icebowl January 15, 2017

      Fucking losers….
Was that Jerry Jones kicking him while he was down…?

  7. NachoDan January 15, 2017

The boys met the Man today! Wooooooooooooo!!!!!!

    1. PF4L January 15, 2017

I’m not a fan of the boys in any manner. But, as far as the game, they came back and played tough until the end. That was a hell of a game to watch.

They were down 21-3 and fought back, and almost won it. Matter of fact, if Rodgers fumbles the ball on that sack with 20 seconds left, they probably kick a field goal to win. We’re fortunate that Rodgers didn’t fumble because if Dallas recovered, it’s a 49 yard field goal attempt.

      1. icebowl January 16, 2017

Agreed. PF, Rodgers holding on to that ball ranks as one of top 5 plays of the game.
He held onto it w one hand as he was falling in that direction…. The guys gotta have a hand like a vice… i on the other hand (pun intended) have to at times head to my shop vice to open a twist off cap on olive oil for my wife…
The friggin guy could hold a 3/4″ steel plate in that hand while using a hand drill to drive a 1/2″ hole through it with his other….

        1. PF4L January 16, 2017

I’d be with you on the MVP thing, and you know i think Rodgers is the GOAT. But if Matt Ryan didn’t win it, he’d be robbed. He had a great season in all aspects, for a full season.

          1. PF4L January 16, 2017

But then again, if we go to whose most valuable to their team. Rodgers wins it every year to me. I hardly doubt without Rodgers, that Fat Mike and this defense would even sniff the playoffs.

    2. icebowl January 15, 2017

      Good one !!

  8. E. Wolf January 15, 2017

Hope had brought the Dallas Cowboys far this. Far enough for us to cut theirs hearts to pieces.

    1. E. Wolf January 15, 2017

      *this far.

      1. PF4L January 16, 2017

        E. Wolf is like an assassin!!

    2. icebowl January 15, 2017

Yup, #4 predicted Superbowl for Packers this year….

      1. PF4L January 16, 2017

Don’t lay that bad karma down on us!!

      2. Empacador January 16, 2017

Aw fuck, and there is the red neck kiss of death! Secretly you know he is rooting against the Packers and Rodgers because that will relegate Favre to 3rd place…

        1. icebowl January 16, 2017

          “Red neck kiss of death…”
          You’re killin’ me EMP….

        2. icebowl January 16, 2017

Actually was hopin to incite the Wrath of Wolf …… mentioning #4 normally has the same effect on him as waving a red sheet in front of a raging bull….

  9. Tucson Packer January 15, 2017

  10. Brewtown Packer Backer January 15, 2017

Brice had a couple bad beats but overall had a monster of a game.

    1. PF4L January 15, 2017

That dude can lay the wood down on people.

      1. Kato January 15, 2017

What a find by DR ;) I give him credit but still hasn’t constructed a good enough team to me

        1. PF4L January 15, 2017

Please go respond to someone that actually gives a shit what you have to say.

          Thank you for understanding.

  11. Sanguine Camper January 15, 2017

          I’m recording it…
          Can’t wait to watch it…
Should be one for the history books.

  12. MMTTDCSUCK January 15, 2017

A very exciting game . . . The Pack played with grit and determination. That 21 to 3 early lead brought back memories of past playoff losses. Despite the Buffoons and Capers over the top conservative play calling at the end (AGAIN!) the Packers won! Why do these two coaches continue to take their foot off the gas once they have a lead? They took Rodgers out of his rhythm in the middle of the 4th Q. Thank god he pulled it back together. Rodgers and Crosby were magnificent. Hey I guess at this point, a win is a win . . . Go Pack go!

    1. PF4L January 15, 2017

I agree….even taking it one further. I think every other playoff game has been a yawner.

Though i will say, it’s always highly entertaining watching the Seahawks getting eliminated.

      1. icebowl January 15, 2017

I was cursing Capers big time listening to Aikman and Buck happily repeat that GB D was “playing soft”….

        Too bad Chiefs lost….
Was hoping for replay of SB-I….
Have to settle for replay against Steelers

        1. Empacador January 16, 2017

I’m with you on the Chefs. Unfortunately it will probably be the Pats from the AFC.

        2. MMTTDCSUCK January 16, 2017

Yep Capers and Buffoon continue their late game mistakes year after friggin’ year . . .

  13. Kato January 16, 2017

I would love to see a Rodgers vs Brady super bowl

  14. Packers fan January 16, 2017

MMTTDCSUCK Skip Bayless is so stupid and is a buffoon. Thinks Prescott outplayed Rodgers! How does throwing more yards than Prescott is considered being outplaying Rodgers! And he even blames the refs! The Dallas defense and Jason Garrett is why they lost not the f*cking refs! Skip is so stupid!

    1. PF4L January 16, 2017

I watched undisputed for the 1st time today, for obvious reasons.

I watched as much as i could, about 20 minutes or so. Until i couldn’t take any more of his spin and lies.
I listen to him and all i can think is that…..His ass, must get jealous, of the shit that comes out of his mouth.

      1. icebowl January 16, 2017

“His ass, must get jealous, of the shit that comes out of his mouth.”…
Good one PF… havent heard that one in 20 years….i owe you a beer

If im late start prelubing wo me…

    2. icebowl January 16, 2017

Refs were no excuse, they were playing soft fir both teams. Lots of grabbing going on at line….
Inexcusable that they Missed holding and PI on friggin idiot covering Adams – hard to miss when his shoulder pads are completely exposed after the play…

      1. PF4L January 16, 2017

Two things that get under my skin.

        1) Fans complaining about their teams injuries as if it’s an excuse, almost as if, their team is the only team that suffers injuries. Injuries in the NFL are like death, taxes, and Aaron Rodgers. You just have to deal with them. They are a fact of life in the NFL. Teams know injuries are coming, and they are either prepared for them, or they’re not.

        2) Fans blaming the refs, either for their team losing a game(s). Or for them not making the right call. This game is played at a high rate of speed, i think the refs do a great job. They are right far more times than they are wrong. Yes, they get it wrong sometimes. But during the play, they aren’t sitting on the couch watching the play in slow motion at various angles of view. Give them fucking break, that’s one hell of a hard job that they probably don’t get paid enough for. Imagine you have 60,000 plus people booing your ass, talking shit to you in the tunnel, even if you had the call right. Plus, can you imagine how thick the NFL rulebook is? They have to memorize that shit.

Remember the replacement refs, and everybody was bitching to get the real refs back? I remember saying…What’s the difference, once they get back, the fans will just bitch about them.

    3. MMTTDCSUCK January 16, 2017

Bayless is an absolute douchebag . . .

  15. icebowl January 16, 2017

Agreed – only way to help refs woukd call for reviews of every play….while ad companies would love it – games would take twice as long…
