Hell came to Wisconsin on Tuesday. It came in the form of House Speaker Paul Ryan handing President-elect Donald Trump a customized Green Bay Packers jersey.
Leave it to politicians ruin everything. The Packers will probably lose their final three games now.
Trump was in West Allis as part of his thank you tour. Since California overwhelmingly voted for Hillary Clinton I expect Trump won’t be dropping by my adopted state anytime soon…
Naturally, when Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence are somewhere in Wisconsin, then Ryan and Governor Scott Walker can’t be far behind. Walker came out to give Pence a Packers jersey too, but apparently couldn’t afford the custom embroidering. Pence only got an Aaron Rodgers jersey.
You think they’ll wear them?!?
However you feel about politics or politicians — and hate them with a passion — or Donald Trump, I think we should all agree on one thing. Sports teams should not be used as political fodder to pander to the locals. That should be outlawed.
Pander to the locals with your own ideas, on your own merits, you dicks.
Who’s with me?
