Well, thank the heavens! Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a new State Farm commercial out, which means we hopefully won’t have to see the “This is our house” bit again.
Because look, it really isn’t the Packers’ house. The Packers get owned in Lambeau Field on a regular basis and you know Aaron Rodgers isn’t kind of fiery leader anyway.
That thing was painful to watch.
Here’s the new commercial, which will hopefully permanently replace it. This one replaces Clay Matthews with Randall Cobb. Clay reportedly couldn’t make it to the shoot for this second one because of a hamstring injury.

Someone called the fire department long ago, because the Packers offense is nothing but a burnt up frame of what it used to be. Sometimes I forget Cobb is even on the team.
“Clay reportedly couldn’t make it to the shoot for this second one because of a hamstring injury.”
Very funny and very true to life.
I got a little curious about Mordecai because of this flash of humor. There was no record of him actually. So I had “the boys” run that photo of him through facial recognition software and, long story short, it is actually Monty McMahon wearing a beard and a headband! Holy crap! Monty is not so very retired even besides the fact he posts as PF4L — though most of us now know him as “Piffle”. OK, some know him even better as “Piffle the Sniffle”. Sniffling most likely from post-sobbing rather than from a cold.
I guess Monty uses the handle Mordecai Jones when he wants to write something he does not want his name associated with.
