Aaron Rodgers Hasn’t Spoken to Family in Years

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ strained relationship with his family came to light as his brother competed on The Bachelorette. A new report details just how strained that relationship is.

In fact, it’s nonexistent. Rodgers reportedly hasn’t spoken to his family in two years.

And that’s not all.

The report also says family members don’t have his cell phone number, he didn’t attend his grandfather’s funeral and if his parents want to come to games, they have to buy their own tickets. Rodgers has told them they’re not welcome in Green Bay.

This behavior apparently extends to Rodgers’ friends as well. He reportedly bailed on being a groomsman in a friend’s wedding the day before it happened and he fired a business manager he’s known since high school.

It all paints a pretty unflattering picture of Rodgers.

“There’s no explanation for him playing any worse,” said the source, who wished to speak under the condition of anonymity. “People are trying to figure it out. He’s a f–king head case. He knows he’s doing the wrong thing, and he’s so arrogant and prideful that he thinks he can separate his personal life from his professional life, even though all of us know that’s impossible. You can’t do that. You can do that in little spurts, like when Brett Favre went out and played amazingly when he loses his Dad. But when you’re talking about real situations that aren’t all of a sudden circumstantial and you f–k over good people, people you’re supposed to love, it’s a s–tty thing to do and you’re going to get humbled.

“You can’t live like that, man. The people who live like that end up getting f–ked over. That’s kind of what’s happening here, but he’s so prideful and will never admit he’s wrong. Ever.”

There have been rumors that Rodgers’ girlfriend Oliva Munn is at the center of this. That she’s the reason he cut off his family.

We can’t say for sure, but we wouldn’t doubt that to be the case.

The real question is if this is affecting Rodgers’ play? The timing certainly is curious. If Rodgers cut off his family in December of 2014 as they report suggests, that pretty much coincides with when his play started to dip.

Coincidence?

I used to think Olivia Munn and his play dipping was a fucking stupid parallel. Now, idk. This is really bad. At this point, I don’t care about the packers. Speaking from personal experience, I really hope he fixes this relationship. Football is unimportant at this point. If something happens to his parents, he will never forgive himself. I didn’t.

I have zero respect for this guy now. I literally can’t even root for him anymore

        Hear, hear.
When I was young I made some quick asumptions after reading, seeing or hearing “news” to learn later the story was a bit or quite different. So later in my life I do’nt judge so quick if all from whatever come to me through media or hearsay.
However what I think of MM is from what I see with my own eyes.

This isn’t directly at you Kato…

I feel stupid having to say this to adults, assuming were all adults, and most of us are men.

      1) It’s gossip.

      2) It’s none of our business.

      3) People are making assumptions from an “anonymous source” who obviously has an axe to grind with Rodgers based on his venomous statements. Do you think anyone that cared about Rodgers would say “He’s a fucking headcase” to the media? This “source” seems to have an agenda that isn’t just of a caring friend.

      4) There are always 2 sides to a story. Making judgements based on hearing one side from a “angry source” is the perfect example of a fool. So be a fool, or make judgements when/if you have enough information and knowledge to make an intelligent judgement.

      5) So you can either be an intelligent man. Or, you can join the rest of the fools and the gossip queens to discuss this like giggly little girls.

Those that want to discuss this like little gossip queens and fools are welcome to post below.

Thank you for understanding who you are.

Colin Cowherd and Skip Brainless probably are jerking off to the sound of all this right now. Apparently there was a 3 way conversation between Ryan Grant TJ Lang and Marshall Neehouse on twitter all defending Aaron, saying all the blatant criticism was complete bunk. But you wont see that reported by those scumbags.

It is obviously a story slanted against Rodgers. The source obviously has some personal issue with Rodgers. That still doesn’t change the content. Assuming the information is true, which based on his brothers past statements it seems likely, Rodgers is an enormous asshole. And he has some serious issues. People have arguments with their parents all the time, but to skip out on your grandfather’s funeral and bail on a friend’s wedding you were supposed to stand up in the day before, that is super fucked up.

So, Rodgers didn’t attend a funeral for his grandfather, he is a shitty person. Sure he is. 7 years ago I didn’t attend a funeral for my grandfather either. According to my “mother”, I was a shitty person as well. She told everyone who would listen “my own son couldn’t be bothered to attend his own grandfather’s funeral”. Of course, what “dear old mom” failed to realize was that the family she is divorced from, for 30 YEARS already at that point, neglected to tell ME (and another cousin) that our grandfather had died. I felt pretty shitty as it was after I found out. I didn’t need my “mom” piling on with her lies and bullshit. My dad’s family was supportive. They realized my dad neglected to PICK UP THE PHONE AND ACTUALLY CALL his son, like alcoholics might be inclined to do. Sometimes everything isn’t always so cut and dried.

Do you actually have proof the shit that source claims is true? How about proof of what his brother claims? Do you believe all the rumors about Rodgers being gay? Anything he says to defend himself or set the record straight will be perceived as him having a chip on his shoulder and being a pissy diva. The guy conducted himself the same way during the Favre shitshow. He didn’t resort to disputing anything that was being said, he took the high, classy road much like the Packers did during that time.

Where was all the hate and discontent for that fuck Favre who everyone KNOWS was screwing around on his wife and being a complete and total douche bag during most of his time in Green Bay? When Favre outed himself as being petty and vindictive after leaving the Packers, how come nobody called him out as an arrogant, smug diva? Funny I don’t recall Favre ever being subject to this type of criticism. Even when he was literally SEEN conducting himself in public as a shitty person. Do you think those Jenn Sterger dick pics were the first time Favre ever did anything like that in his life? Yeah, because Favre was just like a kid out there, running around, having fun throwing interceptions and not adhering to game plans, because he was a way better teammate as “just one of the guys” he seems to get a pass. Fucking hypocrites.

The shoe fits for Rodgers, what makes Favre so fucking special? Last time I checked Favre didn’t deliver shit for the Finley’s, Driver’s and Jennings’ of the world, it was the guy they are all taking delight in shitting on right now. Wonder what Greg’s sister has to say on the subject? She certainly hasn’t weighed in with her 2 cents yet. Maybe someone can channel Lombardi from his grave so he can weigh in as well.

I don’t know what is wrong with Rodgers but other than he hasn’t been as precise as he was in the past, what more do people expect from the guy? He isn’t out beating his wife/girlfriend or any illegitimate kids he may or may not have, he isn’t a drug addict, or a wanna be gang banger killing his “friends” because he is worried about his aspiring criminal empire while moonlighting as an NFL player on the side. I wouldn’t blame the guy if he wanted out from Green Bay or called it an early career. Who needs this kind of bullshit day in and day out, week in and week out, month after month.

Good comments. These issues are difficult for any family and even more so under the intense scrutiny that a celebrity draws. That scrutiny is likely more intense in Green Bay than it would be in New York.

Empacador, sorry to hear about the debacle with your grandfather’s funeral and your Mom’s reaction. Miscommunications and assumptions have screwed us all over at times but that one was much worse than most.

You make some good points about Favre.

These anonymous comments or statements form one single player like Finley you really can’t “take to the bank”. But if you look at the overall and just use your own observations — Rodgers sour expressions at receivers several times a game for allegedly running the wrong route, throwing a tablet like a brat, body language, and so on I think it is pretty clear he has a bad personality.

I think it’s pretty clear you’re just another Viking fan obsessed with the Packers. Who, loves to get his jollys trolling a Packer blog.

In the past you have reminded us how great the Vikings are this season. Going so far as to list multiple reasons why, in your novels. There you were, bursting with pride over the Vikings success every day.

          What happened?

If you think Favre “got a pass” you’re an unobservant doofus. He got pilloried over and over and still does. Setting up a straw man argument knocks the piss out of the rest of your ramblings.

Favre NEVER got the level of scrutiny Rodgers is, but you can dismiss it however you like, believe whatever you want. Unless you have proof showing examples claiming Favre was finished, Favre was gay, etc.. The man was a drug addict and was perceived as a hero for taking it head on so don’t be obtuse. These unnamed sources are one sided and as PF4L and other stated, they seemingly have an ax to grind.

I don’t see how anyone can root for Rodgers. I won’t go through the list of all the things he is but it isn’t pretty. Now, any team can have bad people on it to some extent. One fly in the ointment is to be expected. Or two. It is worse though when it is the QB. Normally, one could take comfort in rooting for the coach but McCarthy is as big or a bigger jerk than Rodgers. So you could root for the GM but TT is a remote arrogant jerk as well. Those three combined essentially ARE the Packers. But, for added measure you have the PED Boys Matthews, Peppers, Neal, Pennel, Goodson, probably Perry (i.e. cheaters — as has been famously stated by Jerry Glanville “That’s the Packers for you. If you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying.”) and criminal lumpheads like Guion and Quarless. And just plain lumpheads like Clinton-Dix. And an offensive line that enjoys watching chick flicks for teen girls. And jiggly-torso Lacy.

What kind of person roots for people like that? Or really believes they deserve to win?

There is team loyalty and then there is this = block-headed willing self-ignorance.
