Get a load of this. Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy has a real solid explanation as to why his team has so many injuries and their performance is not what it once was.
You’ll love it!
“I think it’s clearly a reflection of the training part of it. People don’t want to hear coaches say that, but how can you not be in tune to the fact you have a younger football league than pre-2011 and now you’re spending five less weeks with the players?” McCarthy said. “I mean, that’s not the best formula. I think it’s been proven since then.”
McCarthy is referring to the collective bargaining agreement signed in 2011. That agreement substantially reduced the amount of practice work players were required to put in. That came in the form of the offseason program, the overall number of practices and the overall number of padded practices.
No more two-a-days for these pampered dicks.
Here’s another winning quote from Fat Mike.
“At any level and in any competitive industry, to increase your education and preparation, to heighten your awareness and instincts, is a big part of the formula to be successful,” McCarthy said.
The fact that McCarthy has the nerve to complain about this gets on our nerves.
This is the very guy who sat his stars for the majority of the preseason. Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers all played minuscule minutes in one preseason game. Morgan Burnett and Jordy Nelson didn’t play at all. There are more examples of guys who hardly played during the preseason, including two guys who are now on injured reserve — Eddie Lacy and Sam Shields. And remember, McCarthy also excused veterans from minicamp.
So that fat bastard is going to sit here and tell us needs more practice time when he didn’t even take advantage of the time he had to begin with?
You go stuff another donut in your fat face you flaming hypocrite.
