We’ve been harping on the need for another running back and now it appears the Green Bay Packers may not have a choice. Backup running back James Starks had knee surgery Sunday morning, according to Jay Glazer.
Starks was ruled out of the Packers’ game agains the Cowboys on Saturday. He finished the team’s win over the Giants, but didn’t practice all week.
If there’s any good news here, it appears this won’t be a season-ending injury. The report termed Starks’ recovery time as a couple weeks.
In the meantime, the Packers will have to hope Eddie Lacy and his balky ankle hold up.
