Surprise! The Minnesota Vikings were apparently not content to let their 2016 fortunes ride on the arm of Shaun Hill. They clearly have intentions of going 8-8 this year or maybe even 9-7 and so they’ve traded for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford.
Minnesota Vikings are trading for Eagles' QB Sam Bradford, league sources tell ESPN.

The move was made because starter Teddy Bridgewater shredded his knee on Tuesday.
It gets even better. The Vikings gave up TWO(!) draft picks for Bradford — a first-round pick in 2017 and a fourth-round pick in 2018. So they must be assuming Bridgewater isn’t coming back next year or they just mortgaged part of their future for a guy they’ll be employing for one season.
This is clearly a desperate move by a desperate team. As a Green Bay Packers fan, should you be worried?
Not one iota.
Bradford has never lived up to the status of a No. 1 overall draft pick. Prior to last season, he was traded by the Rams to the Eagles for Nick Foles. Nick Foles didn’t even last a full season as a starter for the Rams and is now a backup in Kansas City.
Although Bradford threw for 3,725 yards in Chip Kelly’s offense in 2015, he only threw 19 touchdowns against 14 picks. His career high in touchdown passes is 21 and he’s seemingly spent more time injured than he actually has on the field.
The Eagles were so unimpressed with Bradford they drafted Carson Wentz with the No. 2 pick in this year’s draft.
But one man’s trash is the Minnesota Vikings’ treasure! Kind of how they pick up every other player the Packers have ever released.
