Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields is being evaluated for a concussion. Nothing has been confirmed, but Shields missed four weeks after suffering a concussion in 2015.
That could be bad news for the Packers.
If Shields is diagnosed with a concussion, this will be his fourth. Has not been determined yet. https://t.co/bsAnMo8QLs

Concussions typically become more severe the more they occur. Thus, if Shields missed four games with a concussion in 2015 and he has another one, the Packers could be without their No. 1 corner for some time.
Shields had three tackles on Sunday
Jesus Fucking Christ. Well, it was a nice little career you had, Sam, damn shame about your brain turning to pudding, good luck with that.
Quentin Rollins. Welcome to the starting lineup. Hope you’re ready.
Did he look ready?
Last season I said Randall was bad in covering but Rollins beat him to it. Know we have both to be targetet.
At some point Shields needs to assess the risks associated w life after football.
I remember Stan Humphries giving up possible playing years making that call after numerous concussions.
You never know how bad it is. I think the new protocol means a player that takes a blow to the head goes to the locker room for evaluation. They did that with Marshall from Denver on Thursday, Marshall returned, and I think there was concern they did not do so with Newton after a blow to the head on one play. This will be the new NFL.
I really thought they might pull Shields after the Yeldon TD run. It appeared that Yeldon’s knee clipped the side of Shield’s helmet.
Is Robertson Daniel on a practice squad? If not we may know tomorrow or Tuesday If Shields has a concussion. If the team signs Daniel or another corner to the practice squad that would be a bad sign for Shields. Shields is one concussion away from retirement.
I would not be surprised to see him retire. This is his 4th concussion.
