Remember when David Bakhtiari was injured in 2015 and the Green Bay Packers couldn’t find an adequate replacement for several weeks? That scenario is potentially presenting itself again.
The good news is the Packers learned their lesson and went out and got some decent backup offensive linemen. The bad news is Bakhtiari has pulled up lame.
The Packers added him to the Saturday injury report as questionable. All we know is he has a back injury of some sort.
If Bakhtiari can’t go, we would expect second-round pick Jason Spriggs to step into the starting lineup. If that happens, the Packers would play the Jaguars with an all-new left side of their line.
Spriggs would join Lane Taylor, who is taking over at guard for Josh Sitton.
That prospect should make Aaron Rodgers rest well tonight…
