Ah, lists. Where would we be without them?
Today, CBS Sports crapped out a list. It’s a list of the best fan bases in the NFL. There was nothing scientific about it. Just five guys voting.
Green Bay Packers fans were not ranked No. 1. They were tied for second and we’re sure that pisses you off.
You’re probably thinking, “Well, Steelers fans must be No. 1 then, right?”
Nope.
They’re fourth.
Probably New England then, right?
Nope.
Tied for second with Packers fans.
You’ll love this.
Dallas Cowboys fans are ranked No. 1.
While we think that’s a load of you know what, we were glad to see Minnesota Vikings fans way, way down the list. They came in at No. 22. While that isn’t quite far enough down the list, we’ll forgive this panel since they obviously aren’t forced to deal with Vikings fans on a regular basis.
If they were, Vikings fans wouldn’t even be on the list. They’d be banned from the list.
Those guys are on crack. Aside from the Packers, the Raiders and Steelers have better fan bases than Dallas. You could argue Cleveland as well. Fan bases actually based on football and not chearleaders. The Patriots won’t be top 10 once Belichick and Brady are done. Seattle is ranked too high as well. But this is all subjective anyhow. No criteria other than 5 guys speculating. To a Los Angeles Rams fan, they have the best fan base, same as they did back in 1989.
The Brinson guys head is the one on crack, and it is fully into the crack of his ass. Brinson lists Cowboys 1, Packers 7 behind the bears at 6. 3 of the 5 writers had Packers at 1. Brinson must not watch NFL football, of course how could he with his head so far up his ass.
Empacador, agree with your top fan bases. I have over many years watched games at sports bars in many states. Packers fans are 1, Steelers are maybe 2, ahead of the fan base that always surprises me the Raiders. I base this on the fans that keep showing up at games when their teams are not going good either during the season or an individual game. Cowboy fans show up and disappear based on if their team is winning. Same with Viking fans. If Vikings are 22, then Cowboys are 21.
The Cowboys aren’t America’s Team, they are South America’s Team, which skews greatly an random poll taken in the United States.
And they would be nothing, pathetic like they were in the late ’80s, if Tabliabue didn’t force the rest of the league to create a Cowboys dynasty 25 years ago to save the NFL.
