Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was right about one thing. He mentioned that he expected tight end Jared Cook back on the field this week. Cook will practice for the first time in training camp on Tuesday evening.
Cook and two other players officially came off the physically unable to perform list, according to coach Mike McCarthy. Linebacker Sam Barrington and receiver Ty Montgomery are the others.
Jared Cook, Sam Barrington and Ty Montgomery WILL practice tonight. They're back. #Packers

The biggest surprise here is Montgomery, who had ankle surgery in December. We had long speculated that Montgomery might start the regular season on the PUP list. Instead, he’ll now make the crowded wide receiver group even more so.
Cook is returning after offseason foot surgery. Barrington missed all but one game of the 2015 season and all of the offseason program with his own foot injury. Somehow, he’s still listed as a starter at inside linebacker.
It will be interesting to see if Barrington is immediately inserted back on the field with the ones.
Two Packers still remain on the PUP list — receiver Jordy Nelson and center Corey Linsley.
Its gettin’ funky, its gettin funky!
I like Tretter more than Linsley, so, no hurries.
