The Los Angeles Lakers re-signed forward Tarik Black today. While that alone is not really notable, at least around here, what Black was wearing when he signed his contract was.
Just an Aaron Rodgers jersey.

So why would a fairly-mediocre (5.0 ppg and 5.1 rpg over his career) forward who plays for the Lakers and went to Kansas be wearing a Rodgers jersey?
Probably because Rodgers once tried to recruit him to play for the Green Bay Packers. You see, Rodgers thought Black could be the next college basketball forward turned great NFL tight end.
No offense to Rodgers’ scouting acumen, but… okay.
Black was more interested in trying to make it in the NBA and considering he’s still there, he’s done that to one degree or another.
Who knows, maybe we could still make an unprecedented inter-league trade. Packers send Richard Rodgers to the Lakers for Black.
What do you say?
