Starting right guard T.J. Lang had no desire to be on the physically unable to perform list when training camp opened. Monday night, he got his wish to get on the field.
Lang was activated from the PUP list before Monday evening’s practice. He is the first of six Green Bay Packers who started the season on the sidelines to get the all clear.
Lang had shoulder surgery in the offseason.
During Monday evening’s practice, Lang only participated in one-on-one drills. He sat out the 11-on-11 session.
Since the Packers are obviously being extra cautious with their injured players this preseason, you can expect Lang to be eased back into action.
It’s uncertain if he’ll play in the Hall of Fame game on Sunday.
The players who remain on the PUP list are receiver Jordy Nelson, tight end Jared Cook, receiver Ty Montgomery, linebacker Sam Barrington and center Corey Linsley.
It doesn’t appear that any of them will be joining Lang on the field anytime soon.
