Before Kurt Warner was a star in the NFL, he had a drink of water with the Green Bay Packers. The Packers had Warner in camp as an undrafted free agent in 1994.
The Packers quarterback depth chart at that time consisted of Brett Favre, Mark Brunell and Ty Detmer. Those latter two guys would go on to become starters for other teams. Warner didn’t make the roster and soon found himself in the Arena League.
He did get a glimpse of what Favre was like, though. He told Rich Eisen about that camp and the stories are true. Favre didn’t know the first thing about opposing defenses.
What's it like breaking into @NFL with @Packers just as Brett Favre was coming into his own? Here's @Kurt13Warnerhttps://t.co/aFO4P29jxr

Detmer used to tell his buddies in Green Bay the same thing.
“STRORIES.” 1st word of a headline in an article dogging Favre for being stupid.
Only here, folks. Only here.
