The kind from New Orleans.
Fullback John Kuhn waited and he waited and Friday was his lucky day. Kuhn will get to continue his NFL career after he signed with the New Orleans Saints.
We don’t know much about the deal, but considering Kuhn got veteran’s minimum one-year deals each of the past two offseasons from the Green Bay Packers, it’s a good bet that’s what he got from the Saints.
The Packers never really expressed any interest in bringing the 34-year-old Kuhn back for a 10th season. Instead, they have been content to go with second-year player Aaron Ripkowski at fullback.
That transition became part of the plan when the Packers drafted Ripkowski in the sixth round last year.
Kuhn is the second long-time Packer to sign with a team this week. James Jones signed with the San Diego Chargers on Monday.
Won’t last very long.
And then, eventually, Kuuuuuuhn signs that “one day contract” with the Pack. Wonder what Jones will do though..both really neat players.
