We were enthralled about this when we first heard about it. That is, Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy being a Chunky Soup man.
Not because he was following in the footsteps of Clay Matthews and your boy Johnny Kuhn, but because OF FUCKING COURSE!
Of course the dude who got chided for his weight all offseason by his fat ass of a coach IS A CHUNKY SOUP MAN!
What could possibly make more sense?
A chunky running back likes Chunky Soup? Hell yeah! I like Chunky Soup! Fat Mike obviously loves Chunky Soup (and buffets). Clay loves Chunky. Johnny Kuhn loves Chunky. Aaron Ripkowski most certainly loves Chunky. It’s a Green Bay Packers tradition!
The concept of this ad campaign is the Everyman All-Star League, where football players draft everyday dudes (Chunky Soup consumers), like everyday dudes draft them in fantasy leagues.
Don Draper is probably not the creative mind behind it.
Big Ed doesn’t have much to say in this first one, but here it is anyway.
